A Roman Recipe( Leeks Rolled in Cabbage Leaves)

THIS RECIPE IS SUITABLE FOR THE MODERN DAY MICROWAVE.

LEEKS ROLLED IN CABBAGE LEAVES

One large leek.                          leeks

Some cabbage leaves preferably curly cabbage.

Enough water and olive oil mixed together to cover the leeks

Salt.

METHOD                                          leeks cut into rings

Cut the leeks into rings and roll about 5-6 rings in each cabbage leaf

Place in a microwavable dish close together packing them tightly

Mix together the water,olive oil and a little salt.

Pour mixture over the rolled cabbage leaves until almost covered

Place in the microwave at 700 for 6-7 minutes until leeks are cooked

Serve with ham or any meal of your choice.
